I'd be gutted but relieved. I honestly think it's a real problem for every team that plays in it. Not to say it's not fun but it will stop being fun if we do poorly in the league as a result of Thursday games.

I will be unhappy, not quite GUTTED but very annoyed.
This is a great experience for our developing and fringe players.

As if we'd get much further anyway with that front three.
I'll be happy getting a few league wins under our belt first.

gutted...nice little sideline, a lot of crap written on how many games we have played already, I question how many of our actual perceived 1st XI have actually seen more than 90 minutes game time in it so far ????

I think we should be giving it everything we can to get through in Europe. If we have any ambition we have to try and succeed in the competition and learn to cope with Europe and the Premier League.
But to be fair to Bilic, he hasn't had a full summer to prepare. He wasn't involved in the early stages of pre-season and the first round that much either.
I expect that if he'd been here a season and then we'd qualified, he might have approached things differently so I'll give him the benefit of doubt in this instance as he doesn't want us to be in any trouble in the League.

I'll be delighted. It will mean we may only lose 2-0 to Arsenal instead of 3-0. It could also mean we may finish 13th in a shit league we can't compete in instead of 15th.
I fail to see the fucking point in it all. Southampton are 3-0 up and are still taking a full strength squad tonight.

I want us to do well in the europa league but just feel that we don't quite have the right size of squad to give it our best shot. Having said that if we do get into the group stages that can only help us attract decent additions.

I'd like us to go through but this really shouldn't be our main worry.
I'm far more concerned how we've arrived at start of prem and maiga is currently our number two striker.

The whole thing has just been a mess, first round wasn’t too bad even with a sending off, second round and what should have been a romp at home turned into a last minute 1-0, then Tomkins gets a red in the return leg and we have to go to penalties to win it, should have been a wake up call and coaching staff should have worked on players and attitude, highly paid pro footballers succumbing to schoolboy tantrums with sub standard players nearly cost us our place in the Europa, did we learn, did we fuck, as when we did do what we should have done with the Romanians and comfortably 2-0 up, Collins sees red but even with 10 men against this lot we should of hung on comfortably, but no we let them back in.
Club, players and Coaching staff should all shoulder there part in the blame for this situation, as what should have been a formality with a few first teemers having a run out with our fringe players and youths has gone completely pear shaped, so much for our owners saying we were going to take this seriously, we haven’t and we have been caught short badly.
Still think we have enough to win the return leg, just hope the attitude in the dressing room is more focused and these lads go out and show the club what they can do but fuck me they have dug themselves a hole to get out of.
